During a recent trip to Vancouver, BC with my friend, C ., I was immersed in Mandarin. Although there were a some English words spoken, most of the day I did not understand a word of what was said. (although it was fairly easy to follow along watching posture and expressions). I LOVED IT. I found I really like the sound of the language and want to move my mouth to make the sounds. And I want to spealk to others in Madarin. I can also get prepared to visit friends in Taiwan.
