So many aspects to building a website, and I realize I will have too much on my plate if I try to study all those insane abbreviations …html, asp, css, php, rss, etc… all at once. So right now I’m thinking in terms of making do with what I have instead of shooting for the stars and not accomplishing anything by the end of the day.

What I’ve done so far: Signed on to blogspot.com for a weblog of sorts and played around with the site code, adding a few personal touches and learning how to compose and edit in html as I go. The result?

So far, so good. I’ve been getting a lot of encouraging feedback. I’m also getting quite addicted to this little project, and to doing daily updates. Here’s hoping I get enough hits for AdSense to send me some dough. Now that would really be something!

It’s hard enough giving my blog URL to people I’ve known all my life. Inhale, exhale. Okay, okay…baby steps. Did send the URL yesterday to my brothers and my sister though. Am standing on eggshells, waiting to hear what they think.

Because he is not coming back for a while, because putting away the things he left behind will not kill me and will not mean I love him less.
