I’m so far improving during the week, but still need to work on improving my progress over the weekends. Over the last 2 weeks, I’ve been averaging waking up 30 minutes to an hour before my classes(and’ve only had one close call lately with nearly waking up too late and missing classes, and have NOT missed 1 class at all!!), compared to several close calls of nearly missing classes, and a few missed classes(ugh) during my first 5 weeks of college this semester! Not to mention that for a lab class I have, I can’t afford to oversleep and miss class anymore(as I’ll fail this lab if I miss 2 more classes, as I already overslept and missed one earlier).
I’m still not satisfied with my progress towards waking up earlier on weekends(and other assorted goals I have outside of this one), but I’m gonna work on improving my average time of when I wake up on weekends(and make a greater attempt to remember to constantly update my log of when I do go to sleep and wake up, instead of often forgetting to write my times into my log). I absolutely wish everyone struggling with achieving this goal can also achieve an average earlier time of sleeping and waking up.
And hopefully, I’ll ultimately get to the point where I can drop this goal, and work on the next step: implimenting a schedule of allotting enough time to do all my daily tasks(including ensuring I get 7-9 hours of sleep EVERY night, instead of occasionally shortchanging my sleep and getting 4-5 hours).

It’s just too damn difficult to achieve, at least for this semester. I still would like to come back and attempt this goal again perhaps next year, once I can achieve a moderate goal of waking up at 8:45am on weekdays and 9-10am on weekends(the former goal so that I have time to eat before my classes, as sometimes, I barely wake up and don’t even have time to eat before my morning classes). While this time is not as early as I’d ultimately like to wake up at, its a small benchmark I want to get to first before attempting this bigger step.
I’m just going to focus on waking up earlier for now, and advise people who aren’t succeeding in accomplishing this to just set a similar moderate(but not too difficult) benchmark of getting up earlier, rather than rushing too quickly to reach this goal(plus realized I was setting myself up for failure). Adieu everyone.

But I still think this’d be a cool and fun goal to hike at least a decent portion of all 3 of these trails sometime in my lifetime. I’ve hiked portions of the Appalachian Trail before(in Virginia and Tennessee(not sure which states but I’m pretty certain it was these 2, when I was young). I’ve never heard of the Pacific Coast Trail or the Continental Divide Trial before now(I guess that’s what’ll naturally happen to you if you live east of the Mississippi, lol!!), but I’d like to read up on what these 2 trails are like. What states do the PCT and the Continental Divide trail go through? In addition, what would be the best times to hike these 2 western trails? (I’ve read up a decent bit on the Appalachian Trail, but know little about these other 2 trails and would appreciate any advice on them)
Keep in mind I’m NOT interested in hiking the entire length of any of these 3 trails, I just want to hike a decent portion of each of these trails sometime in my lifetime. Thanks y’all for any advice you can give me on these trails.
