I’ve not been that great at keeping up with my PostPonderance blog; but I started a new one called UNITY413 that is directly related to a new undertaking of mine, and I have been pretty good at keeping it up, so far!

Not quite ready to say I’ve “accomplished” this thing yet, though.

Progress

Slow, but sure.

This past Saturday (whoa! how did it get to be Wednesday already?) I managed to spend about 5 hours working on this goal.

I believe I have “perfected” (as much as possible) the ability to create an excellent quality digital sound reproduction of analog recordings.

I recorded one and a half LPS and one cassette.

The cassette was “A Cappella Praise” by The Maranatha! Singers. It was recorded in 1991. It turned out GREAT!

The full LP was an indie recording by a group I was personally with – REBOUND – which we cut back in 1973. Also, great results.

And the half an LP was Side One of “Cool Water” by Sons of the Pioneers, recorded in 1959. Lots of hiss and pop, but it was almost completely eliminated by the software! Yay!

It was fun. I am looking forward to doing a bunch more of this!!!!

make a quilt from old ties
Just a thought

I have a gazillion ties. I want to stop wearing them. I often think how they could be arranged in a star pattern to create a quilt (about 9 stars worth?).

The likelihood of me ever doing this is rather small. I have WAY too many other things on my constantly burgeoning list of things to do.

Nevertheless, this is something I would really like to do someday.
