Ugh. It’s been six months since my last entry on this goal, and I’ve gone the wrong direction. Between significant work and personal obligations I’ve just let myself go. Well, no more! I just started a new job, and I will be working signifcantly less. In fact, I’ve already worked out twice this week.

Well, it looks like the dip I mentioned in the previous entry was only temporary. Within days I was back up to my normal weight. This is pretty discouraging, especially given my total lack of time to exercise in any meaningful way.
However, one of the new features of 43things is already showing unexpected benefits. When the Robot Coop guys introduced cheers, I was skeptical. Random people are going to cheer me on in my goal? I doubt it. Nonetheless, I’ve received three cheers on this goal in the last three weeks, and to my own amazement, it actually makes me want to get off my ass. So, thanks to waterwood, syl, and drakesmith! I’m going to begin making time to exercise this week.
Well, it’s been almost a month since my last entry, and somehow I’ve managed to lose 5 pounds. Don’t ask me how; work has kept me so busy I haven’t had any time to exercise. One thing I have managed to do, though, is to start eating a more fiber-rich, less processed diet. That’s the only thing I can think of-besides stress-that could explain the weight loss. Whatever the reason, I hope I can continue to drop pounds. And btw, thanks for the cheer, waterwood!
