I work on stock crew at Kroger. I like my job, I just don’t like most of the people I work with. I put in a transfer request for pharmacy and I was told today I might be able to be over there my mid Jan. I’m hyped.
Helping out at one of the local animal shelters actually started out as my volunteering more goal. I didn’t really have enough time to commit to more than a few hours a week, so I wouldn’t have been much help the animals. However I did have a lawn mowing service and they had a huge lot with just a push mower. So I ended up mowing their yard each week for the summer. It was rewarding because it meant the older women that ran the shelter didn’t have to be out in the heat. And I still got to play with the animals when I was done.
