Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Trying to figure out how to get her to sleep throughout the night.

I love my daughter more than anything in the whole world. When she smiles the, the whole world lights up. She has always had problems sleeping at night though, and my fiance and I are really trying to figure out how we can make this an easier transition for her. She only will sleep for a few hours at a time and then wake up ready to party for a few more hours, then go back sleep for a few more hours. This occurs all night long. She is almost 8 months now and if anyone has any ideas PLEASE let me know!

Almost 8 months ago I had a beautiful baby girl, but during and even post pregnancy I have managed to balloon to gigantic proportions. For the last 2 weeks I have been working very hard at trying to regain some sort of control over my weight and exercise situation. I have already lost 12 pounds.

I have been struggling for a while with finding the motivation to make the right changes. I had gone into see my Primary Doctor and found out that my heart is still not in the best of condition, since my pregnancy. During the second half of my pregnancy I began having complications with my heart. At this last doctor’s visit, I was told that if I don’t change my ways within ten years I could be facing heart failure.

With all of that being said I jumped online to www.choosemyplate.gov and began tracking my caloric intake and monitoring my exercise. It is a great help to me. It even gives you, your ideal caloric intake to safely lose weight. It’s like weight watchers, but for free. I have increased my activity level by really stepping up my cleaning routine at home. I try to stay moving all day long.
