How I did it: I researched what I wanted and looked at the prices and warrantees on items.  and since I don't have the cash to buy it out right away, I went to a store and got credit for it. I know it's just a TV but I would suggest you buy the one with the best image resolution and tech possibilities like connecting laptops or the ones you can view with only a cable line...it's expensive so you might as well get the best.
