It’s hard to meet someone here in Iraq, at least it is for me. I’m looking for more of a serious relationship, I need to start moving forward with my life, and that just can’t happen here.

A buddy of mine introduced me to a friend of his wife. We’ve been talking on the phone for a few months now and she’s even sent me some care-packages to me here in Iraq. It will be interesting to meet up once I get back home, I hope we keep clicking like we are now.

After a very long year I am just a few short weeks away from leaving Iraq, and possibly just a month away from getting back to my normal life. I cannot believe how fast this deployment has gone, and that it is almost over.

The unit replacing mine has started showing up, all of them should be here before the end of the week.

I just need to make sure I don’t do anything too stupid.

After losing my job a few years back I survived only by charging everything but rent, which I paid with what was left in my bank account. Then came Christmas.

I quickly maxed out my credit cards which took me over 2 years to finally clear out. Now I’m back to putting one or two purchases on it which I promptly pay off completely.

I guess now I need to rebuild my credit score.
