ENCOURAGE OTHERS ... NOW 3 years ago

I’ve decided that it’s very important for others know how much I appreciate them. I want to be a source of encouragement, friendship and love. Not to wait until one of us dies for all the nice things to be said, for appreciation to be then be felt and expressed. That’s nuts. So I try to “say it now” whenever I can. Criticism can probably wait … silence? ... by definition, silence waits. But ENCOURAGEMENT? Do it now, I say. There is no down side to being a blessing to someone else as long as it’s truly about them and not about you. In these times of rampant self-obsession, what a concept! In a world where ME-FIRST rules the day and coarseness and anger are the coin of the realm, the most innovative and rebellious thing we can do … is to be unashamedly kind and encouraging … and communicative!

WRITER'S BLOCK, POOR SELF-IMAGE, LAZINESS 3 years ago

Geesh, what a trio of things to line up all in a row. I’m unsure as to why I am reluctant to simply work harder at this. Once I’m “on the hunt” in developing a song idea, it’s golden. But getting to that moment is increasingly difficult and I’m unsure as to all the whys and wherefores.
