How I did it: Part of my fiction writing class was to build a publishable portfolio of short stories. At the end of the semester, we all chose one story to be published in a class anthology. Getting 25 people to agree on the cover design, the name, the format is SO hard. “Point Blank” was its name. It was a limited printing, and I didn’t write the WHOLE thing, but I think it still counts as Publishing a book. Plus, I designed the cover and everythin… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took an intensive college course. It was tough, especially grammar and pronunciation, but being a native Spanish speaker really helped me, as some of the words I already knew on some intuitive level. I can't say I'm a fluent speaker (that takes years and years), but I'm confident I can go to France or Québec and be able to get along, find the places I want to see, and have a decent conversation with a five-year-old.
