I so want to get rid of cell phones. I swore to myself a long time ago that I was not a cell phone sort of person- what is a cell phone sort of person? Well, I am a bit individual, loner-type, that loves tech, yet can not stand a life line to me that becomes an overbearing noose. I have got rid of the contract phones and am back to the pay as you go- yet I justify it by saying I need it for work. Do I really, though? I have dodged that in the past by keeping a well trained staff that is able to make decisions that they know I would make- and then trusting. I am near to having that situation again- very near. So… aiming for the vanishing phone trick in less thann three months? The only issue is when I finally give the phone up- in the past- something major happens to strap that unbearable weight back on me… we will see… Aiming for mid-July with this goal now.

How I did it: I used the excuse of Lent (a carry-over practice of old) to prep for and to hold true to giving up soda. I knew that timing this sacrifice with the event would strengthen my will power. I have never broken a sacrifice for Lent. I gave up soda a few weeks before Lent started, and was going to go straight to water, yet I declared caffeine the enemy, and allowed juice and powerade to be pardoned- I wish I had not done that in part, yet I am … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have been licensed to officiate marriages in Ohio for several years. I had backed away from the actual task, for it reminded me too deeply of a very religious past. That is not to say that I am not still religious, it is just when you are an ex-brainwashed Catholic, you do not want to do anything to cross your previous faith. That is another issue for a future date- feeling comfortable with past/present faith conflicts. I wanted to offi… Read how I did it…
