After six weeks of not biting, I got really stressed out one night and bit my two weaker ones. like crazy. one of them is almost completely gone, so gross… The other 8 nails are not bad, slowly growing, but i need to keep them short, since they are still weak and thin, and they get really dirty if I let them grow.
my regime: nutra nail strengthener. Mavala Stop (bitter polish), and Biotin vitamins. I’m also trying to knit at night, just to relax and keep my hands busy.
I haven’t biten in 32 days. I keep trying and trying, but this time seems to be working… what’s working for me now is applying a bitter polish on my nails every single day. when I taste it, I’m reminded of my goal. I also use strengthener.
My nails look definitely better, but I need to keep them pretty short and two of them were in such bad shape that they are growing very slowly and weak.

I’ve been trying to stop biting my nails for years and I keep starting and stopping. In the past it’s been very useful to break the bigger goal into smaller periods of time, so here i am again. My birthday is in a month, so this is going to be my motivation.
