It has been one year since I publicly stated my goal of invincibility. I am sad to say I am no closer to invincibility according to my own definition as I was one year ago.
However, I have taken one step towards invincibility to illness. I received a flu shot last month. The administers of that shot assured me that this will positively affect my imperviousness to certain types of illness.
Reading through the previous posts on this goal have enlightened me to the several types of invincibility mentioned here:
- Physical Invincibility
- Emotional / Intellectual Invincibility
- Social Invincibility (this may be the same as Emotional. At the very least the two have strong ties)
- Spiritual Invincibility
The former three categories of invincibility are very noble goals, and I can see great benefits for self improvement and confidence. Unfortunately they lack measurable qualifications for success, making outcomes quite subjective at best.
I have been able to think of many ways of providing measurable improvements to two of the three categories I’ve defined in my previous posts; resiliency and regeneration. However I have not been able to come up with a safe measure that will leave me unharmed or uninjured in the event I am not making progress in these areas. If anyone has any ideas I would be very interested.
Good luck all you fellow seekers of invincibility! I hope to have more to report as the days go on.

As soon as I saw this goal, I immediately knew I must adopt it. According to Jack Spade in the movie “I’m Gonna Git Ya Sucka”, “Every good hero should have some.” Jack Spade chose to have a 70’s style funk band follow him down the street, ending the movie in righteous style.
Many questions arise from this goal.
What type of music fits me the best? Should I go with a powerful Wagnerian influenced march like Darth Vader in Star Wars? Or should I go with a quirky funk tune like John Shaft? Would I stick with just one theme, or would it be better to select a small variety of tunes with one central overall phrase? Should I hire John Williams, Hans Zimmer, or maybe go for the cartoony sounds of Carl Stalling?
The only answer I have thus far is that it must be original and it must be fitting to me. It should be easily identifiable and catchy. Yes, the first step to getting your own theme music is creating it first. Then, it should be time to figure out how, where and when it should play.

During a conversation with a friend of mine last night, I have decided that one of the first positive steps towards my new goal of invincibility is to define my goal much more clearly. It hadn’t occurred to me that this goal would be ambiguous in any way. However, after being presented with several topics of possible unintended consequences of invincibility, I have decided the following properties must apply:
- Immunity – I must be immune to all disease.
- Resiliency – I must be impenetrable to blunt force trauma, laceration, or any weapon. This must include being impervious to guns, knives, falling down, getting crushed, or any weapons either currently existing or that will be invented in the future.
- Regeneration – In the case that I may be physically damaged in any way, I must maintain a regenerative ability to heal and/or restore myself back to my original state. A side benefit of this will be the absence of aging. According to the property of Resiliency I should never lose a limb, but in the event of such a loss, I should be able to grow the limb back.
The defining properties of invincibility is still something I am working on, so I have not considered this a complete list by any means. It is just a start on what is turning out to be a long journey towards invincibility.
