I actually shaved my head a little while ago, I just haven’t gotten a chance to post it.

In April I came into my room, and without thinking too much grabbed everything i needed including my clippers and camera and walked into the bathroom.

Once everything was ready, I started my camera taking video, and put the clippers to my head and pushed back. Before i knew it I was bald. I didn’t bother shaving with a razor because the sandpaper feel was nice.

It looked great, I even shaved it again a month later. I think I’ll wait a little while before doing it again, I will be keeping my hair at about 1/4 inch though.

This experience was more liberating than you’d ever imagine, even though I’m a guy, there was something that made me think twice about shaving my head, now that I’ve broken through that i feel so much freer.

I just cut my hair and I’m glad I did. It cost about 1 1/2 the price of a haircut ($28) but will be free for every time I do it. It also looks better than what any sylist has given me. I recomend doing this for anyone who wants a nice haircut. Here’s how I did it:
1. Got Wahl Homepro haircut kit
2. Shampooed hair, towell dried it, and then waited until it was completley dry.
3.Went into bathroom with a tall table and laid out all the guide combs a comb(included), and the clippers. I also took my shirt off.
4. Put #8 (1”) guide on.
5. Turned clippers on and ran them all over my head mutible times in every direction that was somewhat against the hair growth pattern.
6. Took the guard off and slowly took little bits off my sideburns. Be very careful because one slip and you’ll cut alot of hair without the guard on.

Caution: The hair will end up short. I like my hair short and with my hair (striaght, thick and light brown) it does not look extremly short.

Tips: The hair will be all one length, I think it would be alot harder to do two lengths though I might try it once my hair gets longer.
I got covered in hair so you definitley want to take off your shirt and be ready to jump in the shower right away. Another remedy would be to get a haircutting cape and have a friend do the cutting.

Has anyone cut their own hair with clippers. I just want to hear some stories or any other advice people have. I don’t really trust any of my friends to do it, mainly because if someone messes it up I want it to be me who messes it up. I’m a guy who has short hair (somewhere around an inch, I’m terrible at estimating how long it is)
