Hearing Nadia’s teacher tell me how smart she is. I knew that, but it was neat to hear her say it. She sent home extra work with her this week because she thinks Nadia can do the work for the next grade. She did it without any problems. She’s so proud of herself. She even gets to do a special project for the class because the teacher thinks she’s so gifted!

Checking out the cars at the car auction with Bruce. We had a lot of fun. Wish I had the money to buy the cars I liked. Hopefully they have some I like next month when I actually have the money to spend on one!

Planning a girls day out with Nicole. I haven’t got to pamper myself in so long I don’t think I’ll even know what to do with myself. I can’t wait.

Big accounts that fall into my lap!

but someone’s gotta do it. I never realized how much I depended on him until it was over. He paid for everything. I’ve spent nearly a year trying to recover from what he did to us. It’s taken 16 hour work days and 3 jobs, but I’m getting back on my own two feet. I can’t say I have extra money to spend, but I can finally start paying bills on my own. It’s a good feeling to not have to ask for help!

Knowing that my sister is moving on with her life. I’ve worried about her ever since she lost her husband. They loved each other so much and I didn’t think she’d ever get over it. It’s taken a long time, but she’s finally getting there. Hearing the happiness in her voice is one of the best sounds in the world.

Weeks without a phone call from the ex.

Saturdays off. Think I took those for granted. Now that I occasionally work them, I’m so grateful for the ones I have off!

Making my own vanilla ice coffee and having it taste just as good as the one I buy at McDonalds!!

I’m working 3 jobs now. I guess I can mark this one off. My goal was to find something that paid the bills and between them all I’m feeling good about the future for the first time in almost a year. It’s going to be tough, and money will still be tight, but I think I can finally stand on my own two feet!

Making plans with a friend to take our cars out to the track and run them! Excited!

Getting a phone call from a co-worker telling me the boss called to tell her what a great job I did the first time running the store by myself.

Finally finding a song I’ve been looking for everywhere. Apparently never released, but the band itself apparently shares the song with fans. That is the kind of band I want to be fans of.

Roadtrips with friends.

Busy days at work so the day goes by faster.

Excedrin. Makes the day much better when I wake up hurting from too little sleep and a hangover.

New contacts that actually fit.

Sitting with my daughter eating blueberry muffins and cinnaminis before school. Probably not the best breakfast for her, but it made her smile, which makes me smile.
