How I did it: Pulled recipes from magazines, saved them from the CSA newsletter, and tried to make things that sounded good.I tried to find bliss in cooking, I really did! And I do still really enjoy baking but day to day food just takes too long and is too much drudgery for me - much lik I think many people feel about cleaning. I have found some things I like to make, but really, if I had to cook most nights, we'd be eating rice-a-roni and brocc… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I ran 3 days a week. And I signed up for races so I had accountability and a deadline. Then I ran and ran and ran.The most important part is to listen to your body. Some days you can't do as much and that's OK.Your body knows what's up and you have to realize you're working together, not against each other. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started making the list 3 years ago. I tried to vary the goals across many areas of life rather than just focus on one. It took me about 2 months to make the list and then I just tried to make small steps towards them all the time - planning stops on vacation, taking opportunities to practice skills, and so on. All caught up. House is now at 51% clean.
GG and I spent an hour cleaning. He was a bit more ambitious than I was about corners and moving the nightstand – oh, the dust bunny horror! Some of the piles that ever elude us remain but it’s clean. It even smells clean!
A few more things done in the bathroom and a few more kitchen items completed – mostly stove related.
Today I’m planning to finish the bathroom after my shower since most of the tasks there are shower related. I’m also going to get the kitchen counters and cabinet fronts done and then just an hour! on the living room and entryway.
