Audiobook #2 - The Areas of my Expertise 7 hours ago

Very funny. Very odd. Very very odd.

I think it’s probably better as an audio book since my very favorite part of the whole thing was all of the official state songs. As in,

“Massachusetts says, you can keep your fucking tea.”
and
“Did you ever have the feeling you were being sucked out into outer space? That’s Montana.”
and
“Pennsylvania. It’s not the place that’s overrun by vampires. Come visit a brand new Vania.”

Audiobook #1 - The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 11 hours ago

Much better than I anticipated.

The plots aren’t anything new for YA fiction – girl finds love, girl deals with parents remarriage, girl has sex too young, girl deals with death – but the actual stories had lots of twists that surprised me.

Also better written than anticipated. Lots of nice details and descriptions. And interesting darkness that isn’t really wrapped up.

Quite good, really.

Exercise 6 x Week (read all 17 entries…)

Thursday
Bike testing. 3 different rides – the longest was probably 3-4 miles.
Kind of counts.

Friday
Ran 3.5 miles. Killed it. Singing along.
Time: 34:45

Time Above Target Zone: 23:59
F: 24
Sit ups, week 5, day 2
Push ups week 2, day 2

Then picked up the chum at school on the bicycle B42 and rode to blueberry farm and back. 4 miles. Yum.
