Find things you have in common.
Try for optimal meeting conditions..not hungry, cold, or tired.
Let everyone talk and don’t finish someone’s sentence.
Check egos at the door. Write down ideas with labels specific to the idea not the originator.
Praise each other.
Phrase alternatives as questions. If we did A instead of B?
If you wait long enough people will surprise and impress you.
EXPERIENCE IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU DIDN’T GET WHAT YOU WANTED!!! And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer.
Proper apologies have three parts…
1. What I did was wrong
2. I feel badly that I hurt you.
3. How did I make this better?
Ask for what you want. You just might get it. Never give up. It’s what will get you over the brick wall.
It’s better to be the best ditch-digger in the world rather than coasting along as a self-impressed elitist.
If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself.
