In 2 days we will be seeing the lawyers and Housing Board to kick start our first home ownership…in less than 2 months time T and I would be handing over the 6-digit down payment and start that 30-year mortgage (hopefully less!). The timing turns to be a blessing since we would have almost 3 months to settle in before the newest addition to our family arrives.

How I did it: I was getting married and wanted to get that final weight off. Previously I hit a plateau by just doing cardios without adjusting my diet so 1 month before the D-day I decided to give SBD a go. No sugar, no carbs, no juice, no fruits, no sweet sauces. Plenty of brisk walking, about 40-45 minutes almost every day. Not much energy left for strength training so I left it at that. Read how I did it…
T and I have been looking around for a home since mid of last year. Prices definitely have gone south at 2 areas we have our eye on…Looking at how things are here in SG, I am optimistic that by end of this year it could drop more than 20% from where it was at the end of 2007.
The question is whether to be patient or give in to my dognatic-ness.
Yes I admit it, I want a home so I can have my own Cookie…
This is long overdue, but just now I booked for 2 bike riding lessons in March. The theory book looks complicated…let’s see how I cope :-)
There are 3 places where you could learn to drive/ride:
- Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) nearest MRT Yio Chu Kang
- Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC) nearest MRT Bukit Gombak
- ComfortDelGro Driving Centre Pte Ltd near nowhere!
Actually I think they are all not conveniently located. However after talking to some people, I concluded what is more important is to know which is more lenient. Since you pay per lesson/test, not per course, there is obviously an interest to keep you learning rather than passing their tests…if you want to check the passing rates, go here
