Exactly one month from now my friend and I will be on a plane to Europe for 2 1/2 weeks of backpacking adventure… our plan… London, Paris, and from there we will be picking names out of a hat to determine where we go next… I am super excited… while there are a bazillion different places that I would want to visit my thinking is hey why not a trip to Europe every year… so we are going to take in the sights and sounds… :) Probably should start my intensive French language study now….

or even gasp picking up the book that the movie is based off of… I hear the book is pretty good!

especially if you find a really great last minute deal on travel… and you can get those really cool passport holders… mine’s bright lime green :)

I just got the imac – which isn’t the same but its still an apple :) I heart my apple!!

We took a road trip to the Mojave National Preserve, we saw the sunset over the kelso sand dunes and we saw the sunrise over the providence mountains. Below us a valley of open space and joshua trees woke to the sun’s first rays of light

The spa was great – I had a massage, pedicure, and manicure… and the facilities were excellent…however… one word of caution – make sure that you know the details of any spa and resort package—in particular the Paradise Pointe in San Diego – they are tricky and their main reservation operations promise things that the hotel itself does not… pretty fishy if you ask me…so we wound up paying for the additional spa services because reservations screwed up… I will be taking my spa dollars elsewhere from now on!

I blew it all on Xmas presents…. 2007 will be better – I have done the automatic savings deposit thing so now I won’t have an excuse!!

I could get the bike from Wildomar to Riverside using my car :) It’s a very nice beach cruiser – black white and pink… but you say why a beach cruiser in Riverside of all places – Riverside is not coastal…. but for me that does not matter… I can now go cruising down the tree-lined boulevards of the campus – it’ll be great!!

I finally threw my first party at my new place!! It was fantastic!! Food was good and everyone had a good time… evite.com makes sending out and keeping track of people coming easy – highly recommended!!

Went to frontier days in Sacramento… they had covered the streets in downtown with dirt – so it was a real live western town complete with carraiges and people dressed in western garb…. I discovered sasperilla and chococlate covered grasshoppers… which I must say do not taste half bad…

That going on trips would let me meet so many people who are different yet share similar interests… its great because there are not too many ways in which meeting people would be so much fun. And what better way to meet people trying new things – keeps things interesting!

Slept for two nights under the stars with a sleeping bag… perhaps the most memorable was looking up and not seeing the inside of a tent… nothing but dark night skies and clouds… I felt at peace in my cocoon :) That and there were no pesky bugs – which definately helped!

We went down to the lake after unpacking camp…. and I could not believe how many stars there were – living in the city we don’t see many stars due to light pollution… and I could not get enough of seeing the stars… and there was a meteor shower that night – so we saw shooting stars as well… simply amazing!!

It is so nice to get rid of things that I do not need! :)

I have went kayaking at Mono Lake – went on my first road trip and saw a ghost town… really memorable… stay turned for next month!!

went on a road trip – was suppose to go to mesa verde – but wound up in the city of sin – las vegas!! Looking forward to me next trip! On the way back we stopped at zzyxx road – there was nothing – but then we went to the calico ghost town – and there was no one there – because it was around 5 pm on a Friday afternoon – so no one was there -

and tubing down a river, and camping without a sleeping foam pad and it was great!!!
