Yeah, my little Saab convertible is on its way to being on blocks in the front yard. This is a big decision, I’ve never bought a NEW car, but after a little reflection felt it would be backwards-thinking to buy anything other than a hybrid. I rented one from a Toyota dealer (note: many dealerships have rentals, much better than a “test drive,” which doesn’t give one much sense of taking a car on an extended drive, which is what most of us have cars for anyway) to make sure I could live with it. It’s a great car! Also very chic, which is almost as important as it being a hybrid.

Hi Jandazza, we seem to have a lot in common…Cheers on wanting to be a great cook. There is something so rewarding about being able to know what you want (in this case, easy to figure out usually) and then go about making it happen, which is so easily attainable through cooking. Like so many other things, we learn by watching people who know what they are doing, and cooking shows are great for that. I learned from watching my boyfriend who learned from watching his mother and his chef friends…my family was more of the tuna casserole variety and it has been wonderful to expand my horizons. Good eating!
