Done it many times many places, though it loses its lac luster after a while. My prize moment was in the rafters backstage in the auditorium of a religious community center. Twice. The second time, we got caught. That one was more fun. Other places: high school gym locker room, woods, in a truck behind a Church, etc. . . .
Born in Maui and still visit family there

And I hate going. The only good thing about Hawaii is the surf. Otherwise, you’re so disconnected from the world and it’s so incredibly touristy. The schools are known as the worst in America. Everything is extremely expensive. But if you must do it, go to Honolulu, NOT MAUI. Maui is great to vacation to, but Honolulu is more like real life with more sunshine.
