I have volunteered at shelters since I was 13 years old and early on I developed a love for American Pit Bull Terriers. I live in Ohio and these dogs are unfairly misjudged and euthanized at a terrifying rate. Through other rescuers I know, I heard of a female pit bull who was thrown out of a moving car while she was pregnant. At the time her name was ”#1346” and she only had 24 hours before she was euthanized. I made the two hour drive to her and ended up adopting her that day! She has a lot of behavioral issues (for good reasons) but she has been such a joy in my life! Pit bulls are my favorite breed and once you have done proper research and know your state laws, I’d suggest them for everyone!
