I don’t live as close to the sea as I someday want to but at the moment I live close enough I think :)
Moved to St Andrews for uni and I’m about a few mins walk away.
I love being able to just go for a walk along the beach whenever I feel I need time to escape or go to play football with friends or go at night for a bonfire.
The sea is beautiful and inspiring and I’m so grateful to live so close.. when my 4 years here is up I know it’ll be heartbreaking to move away.

well this summer has been good!
We took a drive down the coast going south from Edinburgh. was hoping to do a bit birdwatching but the weather was atrocious… gale winds and harsh rain.
Then this week we took a drive up North.. drove up past the Trossachs and past Loch Lomond and the Argyll Forest Park and past many many more lochs finally ending up in Oban. Then we went up into Fort William and the Ben Nevis mountain range. We didn’t climb Ben Nevis lol but went on a walk to the Steall Waterfall.. a very scary walk through a gorge! (very rocky path and a steep drop = not good!)
The day after we went to North Berwick and saw the gannets on Bass Rock then drove on to St Abb’s Head Nature Reserve near the border. Went on a walk along the cliffs.. saw many seabirds include kittiwakes and shags which was great and also a rare butterfly which I have forgotten the name of lol!
I would have liked to have gone out on more walks but lets just say the Scottish weather isn’t that great!
I was out last night looking at the sky and I had just noticed the Big Dipper and was trying to locate the North Star when suddenly I saw a meteor! It was the first time I had ever seen a meteor, and it was amazing. Sadly it was over so quickly I forgot to make a wish!
I think it may have been part of the Perseid meteor shower which peaks this weekend.. I’m definitely going to be out the next few nights looking for some more shooting stars!
