I had all the credit cards paid off (all 14k of it) by March, but I turned around and used a 1.9% balance transfer promo to do a 2004 Roth. Just finished paying that off last month. Whew.
I’ve got a sizeable mortgage given where I live, but the revolving debt is all gone. Now I want to keep it that way!
The fed tax refund showed up in my account yesterday and as soon as I saw that this morning I applied to to my remaining “big” balance bringing the remaining total of all cards down to something we can wipe out by the middle of March.
Now the key is to keep it that way :) We are in a need of a new washing machine (ours came with the house and has been eating our clothing) and we’ll be taking a vacation in early June. I want to space out any expected spending so we can afford to pay off any credit card at the end of a month.
