A: The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
B: The Good Earth by Pearl Buck
C: The Stranger by Albert Camus
D: Sinner by Sara Douglass
I accidentally read book 4 instead of book 1 in her series—but good nonetheless. I was having a hard time finding a “D” book I wanted to read—was trying to avoid the fantasy genre since I read a lot of it (and I am using this goal to read books I would probably otherwise not read)- but it was entertaining and it fit my criteria for this challenge. Woot. Onto E!

For the whole time I was reading this book I thought I was reading the first book in the Wayfarer Redemption series—hahaha, I suppose that’s what happens when I’m reading off of an e-book reader and I don’t really pay attention to the file names.
The whole time I was wondering, “Good grief, not only are there are a billion characters but I’m confused cause I don’t know WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON.” Piecing together the story was a mess- although halfway through the plot got interesting. The worst part was that it ended in a cliffhanger—now what? Go back and read books 1-3? Or read book 5? Or skip the whole thing because it was so freaking frustrating? Anyone read these books and have a rec? =)
That being said- while the writing was not amazing, it was entertaining.

Finally! I’ve been meaning to read this for about 10 years! I was never a big LoTR fan, but after reading the Hobbit I definitely need to read it. Good stuff!
