I managed to move on down from a size 40. I embraced the idea that I am not dieting. I am not doing this as a seasonal trend. I adopted a new lifestyle. The lifestyle change was mental and physical. I accepted the body I had and said it was in me to change it. I said fat cells shrink back to size they are not lost. I changed my way of thinking to mold this in, I was going to shrink my fat cells back to normal.
Lots of water. Started walking. Then went for longer walks. Then eventually jogged. Now I try to average about 2.5 miles every time I go to the park, about three times a week.
The eating habits I changed were minimal at first. Regular sodas to diet. Then sugar less tea. Went to regular sized food items instead of upsized.
Burgers were held in one hand and the edge of the entire buns was pulled off. Lowering my caloric, carbohydrate and sugar intake was necessary to make the transition in life that I wanted to.
I believe that what you do right now continues into your tomorrow. If I adopt this lifestyle and create a regimen that works for me then it will follow me into my 30’s.
I want to be able to consider myself to be an active person. And when I say I jog – really mean it, and as of today, this very moment I can. I do. I am an active person. I have lost weight. I am attractive. But most importantly I am happy and accept who and what I am. I own it.
