Visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (read all 2 entries…)

Stayed two nights in a cabin at the North Rim. Spectacular scenery and a nice getaway. We went to a ranger program, saw Jupiter through a telescope, saw a mule deer drinking from a water fountain, watched a thunderstorm across the canyon on the Navajo reservation, and ate dinner in the lodge overlooking the canyon at sunset.

find out if plastic baling twine is recyclable. (read all 2 entries…)

Baling twine is not recyclable in my city. Even if the twine itself was recyclable, it would wreak havoc on the machinery.

In the meantime, the recycling person at the city has given me the name of a person in Parks & Rec at the city who can use twine in children’s craft projects.
