The Indigo Girls…Dar Williams…Mary Chapin Carpenter…so many more…All the cool girls play the guitar! I’ve tried and so far it’s not clicking for me. However, I am ever hopeful. I so love music. I just want to be able to make it, as well as enjoy it.

Student loans are evil. They’re a great American scam. How many more can we stand? The list keeps growing and growing…Anyway, hopefully I’ll have them paid off by the time I’m 50. I’m not sorry for the doors my degree has opened for me, and I am lucky in that regard, but sometimes it just feels like this impossible weight to bear. I guess it should make me feel better that so many others are dealing with it, but it really doesn’t. Most of the time it just makes me feel like a schmuck. Gotta get past that!
I love my dog more than most anything in the world. If I had the free time, money, and space, I would like nothing more than to take in others and at least foster them until they found permanent homes. Sometimes it’s hard for me because I get so emotionally attached to these dogs, that I feel like it would break my heart to be around them when they’re sick and abandoned. But the thing is that a lot of people just don’t know how to treat animals. It’s a lot of work to provide for a dog, to help him be healthy, behave appropriately, and be in a good environment. And it’s all too easy for people to mistreat them.
So, hopefully someday I can contribute to the Boston rescue effort (or any dogs, it doesn’t really matter to me…I just have a soft spot for these guys…) in some way.
