How I did it: After two previous attempts, I finally finished an igloo in December of 2007. I didn't use bricks, though, just packed the snow into a circular wall and then built it up curving inward until it formed a dome. It's not that hard and it's definitely worth it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I'd never thought of working at a dude ranch until I came across a craigslist job posting for one, after I decided I wanted a summer internship that provided housing. Once that gave me the idea, I looked online for other dude ranches to apply to. The website I used was duderanches.org, which has links to a lot of the dude ranches in the U.S. and Canada (but not all of them, which is why I'd recommend going to multiple sites).
