I am reading Bird by Bird : Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott and am finding it quite helpful and interesting.

It is the pragmatic view of writing that I have either forgotten or have never known. Her style is refreshing and I will be following some of the principles she recommends.

If you want to write and you are struggling and have not read this short book, I recommend it.

Finish the Book of Mormon by the end of the year

Each time through I see new things and gain new insights and new understandings. No matter what else I am reading – I always spend a little time each day with the Book of Mormon.

Really this is just about Rails :P 3 years ago

Helping wife with NFP organization’s website. We need to take it to the next level and I just dont have the energy make it a full-blown JSP / MVC Tapestry, Spring, Hibernate system. I have some Rails friends who are freaky about it so I thought I would give it a try. Liking it so far but afraid it will sour me against corporate web development (JSP+crap or ASP.Net)
