How I did it: Took a training course and decided that I was never really going to get over the idea of riding a motorbike. I have been riding cycles for a few years before that! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I studied social science (major in social psych) and began working as a youth worker at an NGO (not for profit). Once I had relevant experience, I studied again, this time a post grad in systemic therapy (relationship counselling). Well I have finished my post grad – it was only 2 years which doesnt seem that long in retrospect. Although during those two years I was flat out, just trying to manage having a normal life!
What I can say is keep your eyes on the prize, keep working at it in small, acheivable steps!

Definately worth doing, but be sure that you want to make the committment. Before I bought my place I was planning to live over seas for a while, travel, build a car etc. All of those plans are pretty much impossible now, although I feel good that I have established somethign for my future.
At the end of the day, the positives out weigh the negatives, although it is important to ensure your priorities are in order and that buy property is something you are committeed to doing!
