Each year as part of our Prof. Learning teams we set goals for improving our eLearning. I used to be in a small school that really valued play-based learning, now I’m in a large high school. I am particularly interested in how play can still inspire learning through games-based learning but haven’t had time to pursue more experience in this area. It’s my official eLearning goal now. I’ve been watching some interesting videos including TED Talks about gamification and gaming for learning. I ran across this group last night online – http://gamebasedlearning.com.au/ It appears to be rather a small group but organized by a very enthusiastic individual. I’m game! I look forward to finding out about the possibilities right here in Melbourne.

The boys got the back entrance/mud room painted finally after a long gap. Next bit? Painting the ceiling in the kitchen.
We had our system upgraded on Friday last week to Version 10 and now await a visit from our Destiny rep to get the rest set up.
