There is a theory that thought creates your actions, which create your reality. In other words continually thinking about things in a certain way dictates your behaviour towards them, which causes your experience of them. This is stated succinctly by Brian Adams in How To Succeed, “Whatever the conscious mind thinks and believes, the subconscious identically creates.”
When I wrote the first post about project attitude, I was asked why I wanted to change something that didn’t appear to need adjustment. I thought this was a good question, but I couldn’t really answer it properly right away because I needed to give it some thought. That I needed to give it any thought seems wrong because in my mind, if a person proclaims that they are embarking on a project, they sure as hell should know why they’re doing it.
