I think the two main things you can give to a charity are time and money. For me personally giving money works best since my money buys a lot of people’s time. I love giving to charities that improve children’s way of life.
Do what you are passionate about

I am not there yet, but what works for me so far is really doing what I am passionate about and not focusing on the money too much. Here is a great quote from Andrew Carnegie that he gave to Napoleon Hill:
“I demand riches in definite terms; I have a definite plan for acquiring riches; I am engaged in carrying out my plan and I am giving back an equivalent in useful service of the value of those riches I demand.”
In other words: Give and you will receive.
