I’ve always been what you could call an “animal lover” which was my first and main reason for going Veggie. Currently at 23, I’ve previously tried the Vegetarian lifestyle twice, unsuccessfully, mainly because I didn’t know how to do it. The kitchen has never been my area and I’ve never been much of a cook because the time just never seemed to be there. Wow, I counted “never” three times in that last sentence. No wonder I “never” made it before – such pessimism. Living with a Vegetarian and a Vegan, it’s opened my eyes to the healthier aspect and a lot of techniques in helping me begin and remain Vegetarian again.
It’s been two weeks and I’m doing well so far. In my entire life, I think I’ve only eaten one hamburger. I was what they called a “picky eater” and only ate chicken or turkey up until I decided to call off meat all together a few weeks ago. Of course I have cravings every once in a while. What I miss most is my Turkey Subway sub and then I quickly remember exactly WHAT I’m eating and why I tried doing this for the third time.
