okay it’s time to pull this goal out of the woodwork for some new projects:
1. journal articles from my dissertation
2. a book (!) about the saxophone co-written by me and a friend
so let’s do this, people. outlines and 500 words a day are definitely necessary for both or perhaps each of these projects! going to sweden on thursday, but when i get back i’m going to start this goal. or perhaps i’ll start it while i’m in sweden? we’ll see…. ;)
so yea, i’ve actually lost about 7 pounds, and it’s been through a change in my exercise life. i run 2-3 miles, 3 times a week; and in addition, i have a sit-up and short weight-lifting routine for toning. it’s more simple than i imagined! i have a long way to go in terms of toning my midsection, but i’m getting there slowly!
and it feels great! good luck to all those who are doing it – i’m right there alongside you, keeping at it. ya gotta be patient and realize that it’s a work in progress, all the time :)
i’ve been succeeding at this goal, by concentrating on two philosophies:
1. let go
2. don’t take yourself so seriously
if i think about these mantras everyday, my life is unbelievably better. sometimes life can be so simple!
