I am getting married on August 11th, and I will commit to working at my marriage for the rest of my life. Guess I won’t know if I stay married until I die…but I like having it as a goal anyway, since I know marriage isn’t easy.

I’m moving to Germany in August to marry my sweetheart and to live there for one year, before we come back here. He’s German, and although we’ve known each other for eleven years, we’ve always spoken English together. I really want to learn German this year to be able to talk with his friends and family, and just to be comfortable myself in Germany. I’ve taken German twice-once intensively for six weeks, and then just recently-a more introductory course for ten weeks. I’ve got a long way to go…but I’m getting there.
