he comforts me. I felt so tired when I got home from work last night, & somewhat under the weather; & little Walter curled right up & took a nap with me. Goddess bless his furry little heart. I love him so dearly.

Saving the world begins with saving my family, my home, my community. At home, my husband and I have been educating ourselves reading Richard Heinberg, Ken Deffeyes, and the Backwoods Solar Catalog. Today we subscribed to Home Power magazine.

Besides educating ourselves, we are implementing ways to reduce our power consumption. I took all the standard light bulbs out of the bathroom & replaced them with just 1 CFL. Will probably wind up using 2, for the sake of enough light. Steve is putting power strip / surge protectors on the TV & other entertainment machines, as well as his studio. That way we can turn them off when not in use, preventing phantom loads from needlessly drawing power.
