This goal becomes easier when you realize why the tantrum is happening. Something upsets the child, and the only way they know to express their distress is to have a tantrum. It’s great when you avoid the situation altogether, but tantrums are also an important way for the child to learn patience and self-control. The difficult parts of raising children always result in them learning a new skill (or at least, their parents deepen their own patience!)

I travelled to Ireland with my family for the first time in May 2009, and have been back twice since then.
I highly recommend it. You don’t know green until you’ve been there.
Gained 3 or 4kg over winter this year, so now the race is on to see how soon I can feel comfortable wearing summer clothes again. I know what I need to do…eat less, move more. Easy to say, not so easy to do with Christmas next week!
