How I did it: I worked abroad and lived in London through a program called BUNAC. I think it's easiest if you go through programs like this (because they help you obtain your working visa), or through your university. If you're not in college, take 3 classes at a community college, and you'll meet BUNAC's requirements.The work visa is good for only 6 months, but you can get sponsored if your employer is willing to do so. She is my number one favorite musician and songwriter. Of course, when I spoke with her, my words were a jumbled mess. Sigh.
