How I did it: In April 2009, I signed up to do the Adidas Women's 5k Challenge. I chose to run for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and raised (to date) £656. It was an amazing feeling to be able to complete the 5k. Back in April, I could barely walk up the stairs without losing my breath, yesterday I mostly ran the 5k. It took a few constant weeks of building up fitness levels, but I got there. I am now planning a 10k run! Read how I did it…
This may take my entire life to complete, due to the fact that blood tests make me hysterical – so the thought of doing anything similar when i dont absolutely HAVE to is simply impossible. but someday, i’d like to be able to. until then, i can only apologise for the fact that i feel simply unable to do what so many others do to help save someone else’s life.
