Well, after nearly 6 months of waiting, the final paperwork was signed this month (December 2007). I am officially free and single once again.

It made me
a proud homeowner 
How I did it: Steady searching for the right home.. then intense negotiations with the bank that owned it. We found a 5 year old foreclosure in very good condition.. in a small city not far from KC... with a yard for the kids and dog.. enough space fto park his cars.. and a low interest rate/payment that will allow us to look for a larger piece of land in a few years!
