Possibly the best book I’ve ever read. Anyone who’s ever wanted a mix between Star Wars and Monty Python (that’s much funnier and smarter than the Red Dwarf books), then please, please pick this book up right now. It’s very short, so you can sail through it easily on a Saturday. You should also read the other 4 books in the trilogy (...yes, you read that correctly).

It is one of the things that I am most proud of. I recommend that everyone try this at least once. I know it’s cliche, but you could actually save a life.

I didn’t smoke all that long (two years or so), but I’m glad that I quit, and I think that I smell better now. I commend anyone who has this as a goal.

If this is something that you REALLY want to do, you really can! Just realize these 3 things:
1 – Your first song may not sound quite as polished as Radiohead, who have been writing and performing for ages.
2 – The best inspiration for songs will always hit when least expected, so always bring a notebook everywhere you go, and a mini-recorder if you can.
3 – Never, EVER, throw away a song idea because you don’t like the way that it sounds. If you have one, just write it down or record it. Put it in the back of a drawer or closet or something. You may come back to it later, and change your mind about it.
Treat writing songs the same as getting into shape: start out small. You can’t write a symphony in a day, and if you can’t get passed one line, that’s alright. Never force it if it’s not coming.
Well, good luck. Remember: the ‘bad’ ideas are not stupid, they’re just a stepping stone to the next good one…

Your life will be better if you do… Quite possibly the best piece of writing, all time.

If you ever wanted to read The Lord Of The Rings, you should definitely read this first. It just gives that much more info about the most amazing fantasy setting ever created. I cannot recommend JRR Tolkien’s work any higher…
