..about what “being authentic” is and isn’t.

Part of becoming authentic is losing ones attachment to being nice + to being perceived as “nice.”

I really like to be nice, I really love to be liked.. Sometimes I get confused about the difference between kindness + niceness. I think kindness can be perceived as nice and niceness can be perceived as kind. But perhaps all of that is just filler..I can feel it in my body when I express or receive kindness. I feel “in the flow” and connected to something real. Likewise, I can feel it in my body (at the times I choose to notice) when I am playing nice or receiving someones nicety. Hmmm

NICE, Syn
Dainty; delicate; exquisite; fine; accurate; exact; correct; precise; particular; scrupulous; punctilious; fastidious; squeamish; finical; effeminate; silly.

• 43T is making me happy today + just touching base with what my friends here are up to. :-)
• My DH is in the kitchen at this moment cooking up breakfast!

• I got a new coaching client this week + she’s wonderful PLUS, this marks my first client who will be paying my actual coaching fee. I feel giddy and grateful. (I’m also very intrigued that this happened after I kinda declared my intention (in my journals really and not out loud) to stop, for now, offering scholarship rates.

• cats, cats, cats. i love my sweet kitties.

• OH!! Almost forgot to mention how happy my Valentine makes me. He’s such a wonderful partner!

• Last night dh and i went to a little gathering + we had fun playing Password (YES! I brought it with the hopes that we could play it!) drinking a little wine, and doing some serious laughing. hehe
