i drove across new zealand with two other women a few years back… i got to see much of the country side (lots of sheep), glow worm caves, “hell’s gate” in rotorua and many beautiful seasides/beaches… i did NOT want to leave!

i lived in almaty, kazakhstan for 18 months about 5 years ago (teaching english and mk students) and it was one of the best experiences of my life. i lived with the tien shan mountains as a backdrop, learned both russian and kazakh and snowboarded at chimbulak, took the train up to astana and other cities. it also gave me an opportunity to travel around the region including china and afghanistan!
i’ve completed two sf “run sfm” marathons and it’s probably one of the most rewarding things i’ve done. i plan to sign up for it again this year. which means, i gotta start training again. but it’s soooooo worth it.
