It was fairly easy once I got the first credit card. Basically at that point it was simply a matter of using it, paying it off on time, and deciding which of the massive number of new offers I should accept (once you have a credit card getting additional cards is VERY easy).

American (my Canadian credit score is great).
I’ve started doing this by getting a US credit card (with a friend as co-signer).

I dressed up as a zombie and wandered along Church street. Good fun! People seemed to like my costume (and I scared some little kids! :-).

Easy to do on a small scale (spend less or earn more). Gets harder the more you do it…

Changing jobs doesn’t really solve anything. There seems to be similar BS everywhere you go… (sigh)

I’m where I want to be now, and actually worry sometimes that I might be getting a little bit underweight.

A homeless guy got into my personal space and kept pestering me as I tried to ignore him. It got to the point that I was feeling threatened (his intention no doubt), and I turned, looked him staight in the eye and told him to “fuck off”. He was quite taken aback, and started apologizing, then I think he realized I wasn’t attacking him and he got aggressive again. I was a little worried that I might have got myself into a bad situation, then he did a little girlie kick in the air and I realized that I could probably kick his ass pretty easily. He seemed to pick up on my new willingness to fight as he rapidly beat a retreat after this.

Hiya,
This is certainly something I can do, what did you have in mind?

The older I get, the fewer things are worth losing sleep over.

I’ve done this (created a software product to help children with special needs learn) but the disturbing thing is that the world is far more willing to keep doing things the way they’ve always been done then you’d think at first.
Even the people who would benefit from something new, it can be tough to get them on-board.

I tried this to get over my fear of heights. I had “flashbacks” (post traumatic stress disorder or something) for about a month afterwords, and I’m still nervous about heights.

Not sure what I could say about the experience here that would have any value… It was well worth doing, well worth doing when I did it, and I hope the trip continues :-).
