I hadn’t planned on getting pregnant but after not taking the pill for 3 days (what a fool was I) there it was, two pink lines staring up at me. “Oh, my God!!” turned into “I can’t wait to finally meet my little soccer player!”
After he was born, for the first few months, I won’t lie – I didn’t have that instant connection and immense love that I hear happens. All I knew was I was tired, loosing my mind and didn’t know what the heck I was doing.
My little kicking bundle is now a big “run all over the darn place” toddler and I love him in a way that I can’t even begin to describe. I look back on how hard it was in the beginning and smile because I know now that it was all worth it. My son is the light of my life.

That I can do it … lost 50+ lbs.
I use to be this tall lanky thing but then I went through puberty. My hips and waist widened, my thighs got thicker, my butt got bigger. Carrying wait in hips, butt, and thighs runs in my family. Still I was a decent size. But as I got married, got pregnant and become less active I have let myself go. I would like to loose the pounds by my birthday of next year (February 27). I owe to not only myself but my son as well. I want to be a good example for him (and I need to be able to keep up with him!).
I have been on two cruises, both to the Caribbean. I thought that was the only place one should go to when cruising. However, ever since my parent in laws went and I saw how great (and might I mention beautiful) a place it is I have been dying to go. Once I get a job I plan on having 20% of my paycheck deposited into an online savings account. I hope to save $5000 or so by sometime next year so I can go on an Alaskan cruise in 2009.
