Am sheepish. Have had this goal in mind for 16 years, taken creative writing classes, started journals, but not much has resulted. Found out that a person who I used to work with 15 years ago (who I have not seen in that time) has actually written several novels, albeit unpublished. I had no idea this person was even intending to write. I reckon it was my idea first, lol. So I’m aiming to match his efforts. Am signing up with NanoWriMo to see if this is the push that I need.

I have learned invoicing and how to create an invoice using MYOB (Mind Your Own Business). I have issued several invoices so far. They’re not that flash looking but they’ll do. Maybe I can jazz them up a bit.
The other big thing is that I’ve bought an ergonomic keyboard. It cost absolute heaps – around $300 but it’s worth it – my arms are not hurting like they used to after a hard day’s typing. I feel like a real pro now :-)
They say, “Be careful what you wish for.” I’ve got quite a few jobs to do now and will be busy for a few weeks! I would never had thought that jobs would be falling into my lap like this, it’s like a miracle. Sort of. Well, admittedly pay is not brilliant but it’s not bad actually. And I really can’t complain. I know other transcriptionists are not getting as much. I really feel lucky right now. It’s really hard work though, very gruelling. Back to work I go…
