I’ve also cleared out the tea cupboard [found weevils in one of the tins – gross!] also all the health food supplements are tidied up. Washed and recycled a heap of old jars in the fridge. Resolve not to get more than what I can eat.

I think of this as a multistep process. I feel embarassed because I’ve seen all my girlfriends homes and they’re so beautiful and tidy. Mine looks like a dump in comparison. I’ve listed some things to be improved – change to efficient lighting – regrout the shower stall – remove paint from the bathroom door – declutter – get some hardy plants for the balcony – repair 2 cupboard doors and the bathroom rail. I am decluttering but it is long, slow and hard. Now to make those phone calls to get the repairs done.
Update 7 Nov 09 – 1 cupboard done; shelf added in laundry; shower stall resealed. Handyman to fix bathroom rail once I sand and paint it. It’s still on my dining table.
Well, after procrastinating for ages, today I visited a local suburb in my city which is nicknamed ‘Little Portugal’. I bought some charcoal chicken which was delicious [had it for dinner with salad and ravaged it like a starved carnivore] and also a few cake samples and desserts. Mmmmm, the custard tart was the best I’ve ever had! A hint of spices on top, crisp flaky pastry and firm custard, absolutely delish, OMG I want more…Next step is to organise a lunch for a small group and then walk around the shops.
