I am builidng up to a marathon by running a 5k, then a 10 k, etc…
I have started at the gym on the tredmill.
I want to be able to run a 5k at the gym then on the street where I will have to set my own pace then enter a race. The weather is cold now so I am not so inclined to run outside but it should warm up soon. I have seen an 8k in the local area and may start with this instead of a 5k. We’ll see. It is in March so a bit warmer.

I joined weight watchers online. I haven’t attended a meeting yet but will this coming Saturday. their points program is helpful but inconsistent and extremely difficult to calculate if you go to a restaurant or have a potluck dinner with friends as you have no ideda how much is in each of the items, etc.
I have lost approx 5 lbs since I started in the beginning of January. that is good but I find myself getting frustrated with not always knowing what to list for points or forgetting to do so. I think I will set a moratorium on going out to dinner for the next few weeks until I nca get a bettere grasp on this. I normally don’t eat out oftern but it seems like there have been numerous events or parties after the holidays. I still don’t feel strong enough to attend one of those and not eat or overeat. I like that idea.
Rule #1—no restaurant food or potlucks for the next three weeks until February 11th.
Rule #2 Write in a journal and carry it with me (food eaten, activities, goal, ideas and what I am grateful for).
I am on the 3rd book (almost done)in the Twilight series. I also saw the movie recently. SWEET!!! 4 books in one month.
